My interest in the DREW family arises from the second marriage of ANN DREW (as the widow of GEORGE SMERDON) at Morchard Bishop, Devon in 1843 to my ancestor JOHN BROWNSTON (1808/----), a widower.
The DREW families in Morchard Bishop all trace back to JOHN DREW (1775/1837) who married ANNE WHITELEY there in 1799. I have been unable to trace the parish from which JOHN originated and am seeking help in this.
I have full records of the DREW families in Morchard Bishop as well as many references to the name in surrounding districts. I also have records of various DREWS who emigrated from the parish to Ontario, Canada.
