FRAHER was the family surname of my mother’s maternal grandmother.
I have only so far traced the family back to JAMES FRAHER who married BRIDGET HAYES in Galbally and Aherlow parish, County Limerick on 3rd March 1840. Their first child PATRICK was born in Limerick but the next child, MARY was born in 1842 in Westminster. The family had therefore moved to England between 1841 and 1842. JAMES found employment in a saw mill. The third child BRIDGET was also born in Westminster about 1844 but the family then moved to Southwark.
I have found very few records of this family and am seeking help to find more, especially in Limerick.
