this was the first macro shot i took with my new digital camera, it wasn't set up at all.

the light source was from my monitor [top-right] which has cast a cool, gentle glow over the watch face and a desk-lamp [bottom left] which gives the warm shine to the metal of watch casing.

i didn't need to do any re-touching whatsoever! not even for scratches or smudges etc. the dsc-f717 has such a great macro feature!

again another macro-shot of my beautiful girlfriend's eye.

the entire image was really sharp, so i softened the outside edges and less-so towards the centre to make the eye stand out.

has a very film noir feel.

this is a macro shot of a little metal car which sits under my monitor.

the only re-touching to the image was to further whiten the top right hand side of the image to balance out the tone of the floor.

all in all i was happy with the out-come.

the figure in this image is approximately 7cm's tall, it features as part of a war memorial inside liverpool's anglican cathedral.
