this was the first intranet project which i worked on under nascent form - it taught me a lot about the use of css and using <div>'s for layout and styling.

their branding was faithfuly recreated so as to be succinct with the rest of their existing online identity - for example see www.unitedutilities.com.

unfortunately due to not being able to access an intranet from an external source, the link above only opens a mock page - showing the styling and layout which was implimented on the main page.

another sub site

part of this production was to allow the client to easily update the site, with their own content. we supplied them with this ability, to which they were able to add both text and illustrations throughout the site of their own accord.

my responsibility on this project what to work up the layout guidlines for the content management system. i also had to design the look and feel of the main pages for each of the sub-sites and how the heirachy's of the navigation was to work. i was also responsible for the structure of each individual content page.

i am currently working on phase two of their content editor.

this was the first web site i was responsible for designing at nascent form.

called 'connections', it was an online portal for europeans aged between 18 and 30 years of age who where intersted in visiting the UK, giving an insite and links to plenty of cultural and career based information.

several variations were created and consultation with many europeans of the target age where sought for feedback before a final iteration was designed and implimented.

the site was a huge success, featuring nascent form's navisphere™ a unique navigation devices used to present information in a very organic manner.

unfortunately this site was taken down in approximately june 2004 - as the british council wanted to overhaul their entire online idenity and structure. the main link above links to an image of how the final incarnation of the site actually appeared to viewers.

we were given the interesting task of creating a cultural portal and content management system for a new site called www.arts-mag.net.

utilising their strong branding guidlines, i was given the task of designing and animating the the flash interface on the home page.

i was also given the responsibility of designing how the magnetsier [content input tool] was to look and feel.

screen-01 · screen-02

it was decided that the input tool should appear very much like a creative application that people would find relatively easy to understand. the look and feel was based on a macos, windows and www.arts-mag.net styling.
