Preparing for Tests

Motorcycling

I have been an Advanced Trained Motorcyclist for many years.  I learned to ride on a 150cc Lambretta in 1971.  I have owned and ridden countless machines of all sizes ever since.

This is me on my uncle's BSA Bantam in 1957.  I guess the love of bikes has been with me all my life!

I wish I looked that cute now.

I have been without a bike for only about 4 years since I was 16.  A few years back I decided to 'freshen up' my training after my lay off from biking.  I joined West Yorkshire Advanced Motorcyclists (an IAM group) and received their generous assistance to pass the IAM test.  I wanted to put something back into the club so I became a qualified 'Observer' and now help other riders to achieve the same goal.

From 2000-2004 I was an examiner with RoSPA covering the Yorkshire area.  As I am the examiner I do not do the training of riders within the group - just the testing.

RoSPA recently gave me some additional training and I now do re-testing for Diploma Holders.  Only a few of the examiners have had this training (as yet) and I expect to be rather busy.  I am afraid that I have had to stop doing the 'mock tests' that used to be offered on this site.  I have only a limited number of spaces in my diary and I have to give precedence to my RoSPA tests.  Sorry!

But if you are preparing for the test here is some advice;
