Durham Folk Party
July
Based at Durham Rugby Club, A weekend of Folk Music, which includes sessions, concerts, street entertainments and a ceilidh, camping is recommended, due to the fact that you are next to the pitch, with not far to walk/crawl to your sleeping bag! Showers and morning breakfasts are also on offer.

Folk weekend based at the Botanic Centre, Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough
This mini festival stands out from the rest, because all the guests give their services free gratis, and hence there is no charge. (incidently this is a registered charity)
The main concerts take place outdoors on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon, in a large patio garden, surrounded by blossoming trees and flowers it makes an ideal setting, there is a small stage with PA, so far (touch wood) the weather has been kind, over the last 5 years this has taken place, it has never been rained off! there is a restaurant, bar, and souvenir shop.
In addition to the concerts, there are Workshops, Singarounds and a Ceilidh
