Come and 'wander around in love'
as Christ loved us. Offer your love, with His, as The Anglican Parish Church of Chelsfield, Kent, is dedicated to St.Martin-of-Tours. The earliest parts of the current church building were constructed in the 12th century. A tower and chapel were added in the 13th century, a porch in the 15th century and the current clergy vestry in the 19th century. A facilities extension, known as the Brass Crosby Rooms, in the North West Corner of the church was completed in February 2007.
Well Hill Mission Church, built in 1890 as one of the string of Mission Churches for Hop Pickers in the Darenth Valley, is part of the parish of St.Martin's and is located approx. half a mile East of Chelsfield Village. OS ref. TQ496642. Click to see Map.
