Harbour and Aquarium The harbour or port of Barcelona has both an industrial area and a leisure area. The leisure area, known as Port Vell (which is partly shown in this photo) has a wooden walkway built across it over which is the Maremagnum shopping complex and a large Aquarium. Nearby the harbour is a fishing port called Barceloneta with many fish restaurants. Barcelona Aquarium is possibly the largest in Europe, and one of it's attractions is a huge shark tank with glass walkways through so that visitors can see the sharks swimming around and above them.
