Jerez
In spring 2004 we stayed in Jerez de la Frontera which is famous for production of Sherry and the Horse Fair which takes place in May. It is also the home of the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Equestre world famous dressage horses.
One noticable feature of Jerez are the orange trees which line many streets. There are also numerous horse statues and sculptures, a cathedral (photo right) and Alcazar (Moorish buildings).

We also visited the Yeguada de la Cartuja outside Jerez, where Cartujano Andalusian horses are bred, which provides for the visitor an excellent guided tour and equestrian show.
