Montjuic is a hill to the south of Barcelona, about 200 metres in height. On the hill are museums and art galleries, the Olympic stadium, a theme park showing examples of Spanish buildings, and fountains which are used on some summer evenings for musical and light shows.

The art galleries include the National Art Museum of Catalonia which is housed in a Palace built in 1929, and the Joan Miro Foundation, a centre created by Miro for modern art and containing many of his works including paintings and sculptures. The theme park is called Poble Espanyol and replicas of buildings from many parts of Spain can be seen within it, and there are also craft shops and cafes. On the top of the hill of Montjuic stands a castle which is now a military museum and the Olympic Stadium is also on the top of the hill, part of the interior of the stadium is shown on the photo on the left. The other photo shows some gardens on the hillside.
