Design Advice - free one day consultancy!

As a Government Approved Design Advice consultancy, BDME is able to offer clients a free one-day consultancy subject to project eligibility. This results in a written report addressing project energy & environmental issues & is augmented by simulation proposals. Subsequently a valuable 30% fee remission is available for approved longer term consultancies on individual aspects of environmental design such as natural ventilation and thermal modelling. Design Advice is managed and operated by the Building Research Establishment on behalf of the Government and is part of the Government's Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programme.

The BDME Approach

BDME offers a unique approach to building simulation - a practical understanding of your problems gained from first hand experience working in the construction industry, combined with technical expertise in the application of advanced building simulation technology.

Firstly, we meet with you, the client, to understand your aims, objectives and perceived building design issues. Working with the project team, we identify simulation scenarios required to test drive your design and allow informed decision making. Thereafter we provide fully budgeted proposals to integrate building simulation not your design, enhance your project and work towards resolving your design issues prior to building.
