Building Visualisation

Using advanced computer software to integrate radiosity and ray tracing with physically based lighting in a 3D model, realistic computer generated environments and images are produced through precise simulation of light & material behaviour.

Subtle but significant lighting effects such as indirect illumination, internal sun casting, soft shadowing & colour bleeding, produces images of unsurpassed realism. The realism is enhanced by importing the actual photometric (light energy) values of commercially available lighting products to be used in the building. Natural daylight is then specified by indicating the location, sky conditions, date & time of day.

Rather than receive a simply rendered solution the outcome is a close match with eventual reality. When the lighting simulation is complete a photo-realistic model of the building is created, not just a single view. The model can be viewed from any position and used to generate high quality fly-through animations.

Range of Visualisation Options

The application of visualisation to a building enables:

The production of realistic digital images and scenes
Simulation of artificial / natural lighting conditions using physically accurate light & materials
Interactive walk through of virtual environments
Interactive change of materials & lighting
Quantitative photometric analysis
Sunlight & skylight control by specifying location, date, time & degree of cloud cover by direct specification of sun angles
High quality animation
Output for a wide range of client purposes

Our Approach

With you, our client, the aims, objectives & outcomes of visualising your chosen building design are clearly identified. These can range from lighting simulation on a room to a full building walk through & exterior appearance. Thereafter a fully budgeted proposal for visualisation of your building is prepared for your approval. Then working closely with you, the design is produced & progressively refined to reach the desired outcome - a model with natural realism & client satisfaction.
