BDME (Building Design Modelling & Environment) provides three main
services to the commercial & domestic areas of building
construction
- BDME - Building
Simulation
-
The core business of BDME Building Simulation relates to
assessing, modelling and analysing proposed building design solutions.
The design is defined in terms of its geometry, orientation and
construction to produce a 3D model. Database information is referenced
for climate, materials, events profiles and plant. The building is
then zoned in a conventional manner and zone connection information is
integrated into the model. Finally desired control characteristics and
plant availability are defined prior to detailed simulation, analysis
and possible design refinement,.
-
This involves liaison with design teams and clients alike to
produce higher quality design solutions. As a result a
significant range of benefits can be achieved from using
building simulation during project design stage.
- BDME - Building
Visualisation
-
Building Visualisation starts with a 3D building model.
Advanced computer software is then used to generate environments,
lighting conditions and furniture resulting in a photo-realistic model
of the building which can be viewed from any angle and used to
generate high quality fly-through animations.

MVM Scotland was formed in 1998 as a joint venture between
BDME and MVM Starpoint. A comprehensive range of consultancy services
is offered ranging from on-site stock condition and energy surveys,
production of HECA reports and formulation of a councils energy
strategy, to individual SAP ratings for builders and architects.
