The Agency
Consultant
June Collins started her career as
a dancer and ice skater and after her marriage, went
on to produce amateur variety shows at various venues
in and around London.
In 1961 Mrs. Collins joined forces
with Barbara Speake and agreed to run a theatrical agency
for her part-time school. In 1963 the full time school
was opened and the rest is history. However, it is remarkable
to note that in her own right, Mrs. Collins has over
40 years experience as a Theatrical Agent and has always
had the knack of discovering talented youngsters, which
the stage school then nurtures. It is to her credit
that among the better known past pupils such as Jack
Wild (Oscar nomination as The Artful Dodger in
the film 'Oliver!'),
Michele Gayle, Sylvestra
le Touzel, Naomi Campbell, Sara Sugarman, Davis Parfitt,
Jayne Collins, Bobby Collins, Mark Summers, Brian Conley,
Lindy Layton, Peter Newton, Geoff Stevens, and
of course her own son, Phil
Collins owe their beginnings.
