THE DAYS REPORT
Sunday's adventure started at 9.15 after a superb breakfast at Higher Hendra.
They all had a good nights sleep although Phil complained that Bill snored like a 'buzzcock'! ( I've never heard a buzzcock. Ed) This was confirmed by Geraldine who advised that in future Bill should be banished to a single room!

It was a long tiring journey through north Devon. The severity of the terrain had been underestimated.
Here we go again Long and Winding Roads
All up and down steep hills and very little on the level to efficiently eat up the 75 mile journey that ended at 9.15 pm in the dark Devon lanes before they could locate their overnight accommodation. Fortunately all three were equipped with lights.
The weather had been very kind to the team. A beautiful sunny day and at times a little too warm for comfort on those endless up hill drives the likes of which they had not experienced before.

a pleasant meal at the B & B they are planning a gentler day tomorrow despite their schedule indicating 75 miles again tomorrow.
