This publication is the first comprehensive history of Hafodunos Hall, Llangernyw. Situated little more than ten miles away from the North Wales coast, Hafodunos is one of the most important Victorian country houses in Wales. Till October 2004 it had remained relatively untouched, but as one of the great tragedies of recent Welsh cultural and historical loss, it was seriously gutted by fire. I hope this book will enlighten people to the terrible plight of this little known mansion house, whose long and winding history has touched so many. Please keep checking for updates!

Abergele Visitor Book Review

From ‘Aurora’ by Margaret Sandbach

“The triumph of the Martyr,
Of him who will not barter
His Soul for earthly good;
Whose holy heart is fixed,
Possessed of peace unmixed,
It is strong solitude:”
