Where are the Kingsbury Lions We are based approx. 10 miles North West of London, UK. Our first meeting is on the first Wednesday of each month and starts at 20:00, this is a business meeting. The meeting place is :- Magnum, Kenton, Middx

If you are interested in assisting us in any of our service, fund raising or social events send us an e-mail, or ask any Lions member. You are most welcome to attend either our business meeting, which is held on the first Wednesday of each month or our social meeting which is held on the third Friday.
Recently our club has collected £8,000.00 on a Fund arising event and donated one "Slit-Lamp" to a local hospital (Central Middlesex Hospital).
Our club has conducted over 9,000 diabetic screening over the last four years.
In June 1999 at our Musical Evening in aid of Scleroderma Research we raised in excess of £5,000 fund. 200 Kg of nearly new used clothes were sent to India, for free distribution to poor people.
A special souvenir magazine launched to collect funds for donation to the Children ward in the Northwick Hospital in Harrow - Target £2,500.
Christmas presents given every year to disabled children to a local school in Kingsbury area. Club also gives every year Easter Eggs to the same school.
We presented £5,004 to diabetic clinic at Central Middlesex Hospital. The money has been used to buy computers for giving diets to the diabetic patients in any languages that they require. The fund was collected on charity walk organised by Lion Vijay Nathwani & Lion Bharat Nathwani.
Our project of rebuilding the cyclone affected school in Rawal (a small town near Porbandar, Gujarat, India), Where we have donated £4,000. The past President Lion Vinu Kotecha attended the opening ceremony on 29th February 2000.
Gave two Ambulances in India (Rawal) to a local trust. We are aiming to collect more funds to purchase one more ambulance.
We took part in collecting £16,000 for Indian Earthquake appeal. This was musical evening organised by the clubs in the Zone "E".
Our club donated £500 to District 411 for welfare of street and disabled children in East Africa.
Other Donations:
· £500 donated to SightFirst.
· £500 for an eye camp in Junagadh, Gujarat, India.
· £500 for an eye camp in Ahemdabad, India.
· £500 for an eye camp in Punjab, India to be organised later
this year and require an additional funds, so any donation welcomed.
· £500 for an eye camp in Kenya (District 411) to be organised
later this year.
