Crowland Silver Surfers
This web site was primarily set up for the group, but surfers of all ages, are very welcome.
Background
This group was set up in February 2003 primarily to familiarise retired citizens in the use of a PC computer.
Initially the group met at the ICT Centre in Postland Road Crowland, on a Tuesday afternoon from 2 - 4 pm, where excellent modern facilities were provided free of charge. In May of that year, an additional session was started on a Thursday evening 7 - 9pm, to accommodate those who could not attend the Tuesday session. During October 2004 the Tuesday afternoon session was discontinued due to lack of 'students'.
In November 2005, due to a variety of reasons, the Thursday evening session was also, regretfully, discontinued.
Help will continue though by using these web pages, which will be updated as long as I see that they are being used
Hopefully, the majority of you will find something of interest on these web pages that will help you in some small way to explore the world of computing.
