Drizzlecombe Cist OSGR SX 5915 6721

Comments
TPI X, pp306 and 308, refers to an "exceedingly fragmentary" row leading 76m to the east from the cist "to a small circle of stones, standing and fallen" (Sheepstor 25a, Butler 14).
This is referred to in BR 12, but not 19 or 34.

Maps of the area can be found at TPI X (1890) facing p306, TDA LXXVIII (1946) Plate 35, RH Worth Dartmoor (1953) p211, (the kerb circle concerned is marked in the wrong place on all these plans), DASP 36 (1978) p109, and Butler III (1994) p135.
Burl, in his Carnac to Callanish p114, repeats Worth's earlier mistake.
