Blindcare UK Registered Charity No. 1020073
Blindcare, established in
1988, is an equal partnership of nine UK based charities and was
founded to promote payroll giving. Blindcare works to raise awareness
of the benefits of payroll giving and to promote the work of our
partner charities:
Blindcare's partner charities provide education and training for
visually impaired adults and children to help them make their way in
the world; mobility support to help the blind lead active lives;
conduct research into blindness and provide vital treatment,
including the restoration of sight, in developing countries.
Each year, half a million children in the world lose their sight.
Eight out of ten of these could be cured.

For millions of people, blindness is a daily challenge to be
overcome. The charities which make up the Blindcare partnership are
committed to helping visually impaired people achieve their goals in
every aspect of their lives.
In the UK alone around one million people suffer from blindness or
impaired vision. This may affect their education, livelihood and
mobility, not to mention their confidence and self esteem. But you
can help.
- £13 could provide a day's care for a blind nursery school
pupil
- £10 could fund an operation to restore the sight of a
child in Africa
Payroll giving is the simplest and most effective way to give
support. Because payroll giving is tax free, every pound you give to
Blindcare will actually only cost you 77 pence, if you pay tax at the
basic rate, or only 60 pence if you are a higher rate tax payer. You
can give up to £100 per month tax free.
