While walking one day collecting branches for wands, I came upon a tiny fairy that had hurt her wing. She told me it was too far for her to walk home, as it would take days with only tiny legs to carry her. Because of this, she offered me a choice, if I took her home I could either have a wish, or she would let me visit her enchanted wood as often as I wanted. I picked her up, and took her home, she guided me all the way. We were greeted by many tiny fairies as we entered her village. She made them promise faithfully not to hit me with fairy dust, to make me forget until my choice was made. If I chose the wish, I would be transported home, and get my wish. If I chose to visit now and again, I had to promise never to reveal where the Pippin Wood lay. I, as any of us would, chose to visit as often as I could.

During my visits, I noticed one fairy family (the original Pippin Wood founders) had an obsession with humans. They would collect all types of objects that were connected with humans, buttons, coins, anything tiny enough for them to carry home. Another family liked to collect certain gem stones.
