Quilting For those of you who love to piece quilt tops but do not have the time to quilt them – I offer a hand-guided and a computer-guided machine quilting service, which includes edge-to-edge, border and custom quilting. Your pieced top will be professionally quilted with no need for marking or basting.

I have an extensive range of continuous line quilting patterns, many of which have been tailor-made for edge-to-edge quilting. Designed to interlock – they will not look like row upon row of the same pattern but fill your quilt from top to bottom with a beautiful design.

I also offer custom quilting tailor-made for your quilt top using any of the following quilting techniques...

  • stippling in a range of sizes
  • patterned meander (eg leaves and loops)
  • motifs (eg feathered medallions)
  • a range of freehand designs (eg swirls, flowers, leaves)
  • stitch in the ditch
  • outline or echo
  • continuous curve
  • grids

Binding I also offer a finishing service which includes hand finished binding. Should you wish to take advantage of this service please supply sufficient fabric along with your quilt. I will cut the binding on the straight of grain and attach a French double fold binding by machine. The corners will be neatly mitred. I can finish your binding by hand or leave it unfinished for you to complete at home.

 
Basting And finally, for those of you who prefer to quilt your own tops but do not have the floor space or do not wish to kneel to baste your tops – I offer a basting service. Your quilt top will be smoothly machine basted at 4” intervals, in cotton thread, ready for you to quilt either by hand or by machine.
