FLAP JACKS

 

You will need

225g (8 oz) porridge oats

115g (4 oz) desiccated coconut

85g (3 oz) caster sugar

225g (8 oz) butter

2 tablespoons syrup

 

 

1. Set the oven to 180c/350f/Gas mark 4 and grease the baking tin.Then melt the butter, sugar,and syrup in a pan over a low heat.

2. Then take the pan off the heat and mix in the coconut and oats.

3. Tip the mixture into the baking tin and press it down firmly and bake for 20 to 30 mins.

4.Cut the flapjacks into squares and leave them to cool. Once cool take them out the baking tin.
