Whitletts V Galston Sun 29th February 2004
An excellent day saw the KGV pitch beat the frost and be one of only a limited number of venues to stage a game. Whitletts started this game on fire and a noticeable difference from displays in the past months. Every attack from the first minute could have produced a goal and it was in 8 minutes that Eddie Graham opened the scoring after some fine work by Thomson down the right. The onslaught continued with Taz grabbing a hat trick and Conor netting to make the half time score 5 - 0. The second half started the same and the Whitletts pressure never relenting with fine accurate passing between all areas of the team. Bowman had by this time been introduced to the forward line and not to be undone he also got a hat trick, with a cheeky 3rd goal. Other scorers in the second half were Taz with a 4th and Boo Boo with a fine individual solo effort which started in his own half. This made the final score 10 - 0. This was well deserved and proved that when Whitletts are in the mood they can play really well and score at will. There were some excellent displays in all areas with the midfield at last holding there positions and controlling the game. Man of the match is between Taz and Boo Boo who both had there best displays of the season. However the award this week goes to Taz for his link play and 4 cracking goals.
