Pennan Loop

           

2. Route Description

Beginning at Stuartfield, take the B9030 1 mile to Old Deer, continue to the end of the B9030 to the T Junction on the Mintlaw - New Pitsligo road, (A950). Turn left and cycle along the A950 to New Pitsligo. Cycle through New Pitsligo and continue to the end of the A950, (T Junction on the Fraserburgh - Macduff Road). Turn right and cycle 300 yards along the A98. Turn left along the unclassified road and follow the signs to Pennan. Once at the Pennan junction turn left along the B9031 road to Aberdour. (Be prepared for some real hill work). Continue along the B9031 to Aberdour. Once in the village turn right and cycle through it. At the end of the village turn left and continue along this unclassified road for approx 2 miles, continue straight on at the crossroads and continue along this road until you reach the A981. Turn left and continue along the A981 through Strichen to junction at the end of the A981. Turn right, and follow the A950 back to Stuartfield.
