The range of activities available in the region is limitless and the above suggestions barely scratch the surface, however they are there to give you a start and let you dream of some of the ways you might want to spend your holiday. We hope over time to build up the number and quality of pictures we have in this section, but please bear with us as I suspect it will take a considerable time. Local Events 2004; Tuesday 6 April - Puppet show for little ones 'The magic horse' in Taynuilt village hall, 3 pm Thursday 8 April - Cruachan consort giving a recital of music for Holy Week 2 pm and 3 pm Friday 9 April Cruachan Consort Choir singing in St Conan's Kirk. Free entry. Saturday May 14th - St John's cathedral in Oban. All proceeds towards the Mountain Rescue Team. Rare occasion for such a professional choir to perform in Oban.

Mendelssohn and Bruckner. With 120 singers.
Every Thursday night Ceilidh (pronounced Kayly) night in the Taynuilt Village Hall during the summer - 15 minutes walk Mendehlsson Festival on Mull. Usually first week in July (whole week), also one performance in Corran Hall in Oban (01631 567 333). Barbara goes to this every year and it is always stunning. A German choir will be staying with us for the week, and they'll be performing in unusual places around the area. Oban Highland Games - end of August - about 20 minutes drive Summer camp (football, badminton, tennis, treasure hunts and more) for kids at Atlantis Leisure in Oban - 01631 566 800. Weekdays 10 am to 1 pm during most of summer holidays. Ages 6-8 and 9-12 (15 per group), Last year was £25 per week per child, has to be booked in advance. Chamber music week at Bonawe House for string players (cellos, violins, violas). Likely to be middle 2 weeks in February 2005.
