Birmingham New Street Station
Birmingham New Street Station is the main station in Birmingham. It serves over 31 million people every year. Just to make life confusing it is not on New Street. It was opened in 1854 by the London and North Western Railway (LNWR). A Midland Railway station was opened immediately alongside it in 1885. The station was completely rebuilt into its current form in 1967. The 1960's vintage signal box is a grade II listed building!
