Honorary Gordon Skier

It was with great delight that Gordon Skiers took the opportunity of presenting its first honorary title in September 2002.

The presentation was made to David Culshaw at Inchmarlo on 18th September 2002 to mark a significant contribution he has made to Gordon Skiers club and the many children that have had the benefit of his help, assistance and support in their ski-ing and racing experiences.

The presentation was made by the chairman, Jim Hewson after an interesting review of the contribution David had made to the club. In response David was absolutely delighted with this presentation of honorary membership and made the point that he was still there to help and continue enjoying one of his favourite passions, ski-ing. David also alluded to the role of ski racing in life and how it was about enjoyment, meeting people and facing up to new challenges. It was not just about winning but about taking part. This embodies the ethos of the club.

An informal meal took place as part of the event.

Congratulations to David from Gordon Skiers.
