Died very suddenly not without foul suspition of his being poisoned by his second wife Susannah. She was examined by the Justice of the Peace but no evidence could be found. Having an income of £200 p.a. fromthe Fettiplaces, she then took a third husband, Sit Thomas Cutler, a brisk gay and handsome young man, for of Sir John she was weary, beinga dull fellow!
