Above is the church's lych gate which was erected by the people of Lenton to commemorate the millennium.

In the very recent past a medieval 'Templar-type' grave was unearthed and excavated. A seat marks the spot of its original site. Unfortunately the walk through the churchyard has been spoilt by excessive dog fouling along the path and grass edgings.
