On Sunday 4th November 2007 the last flight of the 2007 season of a Virgin hot-air balloon took off from Stoke Rochford with local farmers and wives as passengers and landed in Mark Jasinksi's field in the south of the parish. The pilot was Alan Lusty of The Airballoon Company.
