Parish Church. C12-C15, restored 1886-91 by Ewan Christian. Flint and stone, lead roof. West tower, nave with north and south aisles and south porch, chancel. West end of nave and south arcade of C12, north arcade early C13, wide C14 chancel arch and clerestorey to nave of C15. Chancel almost completely by Christian who also added the south porch.
Interior: North arcade with round piers; octagonal piers to south arcade with crude scalloped capitals.
Fittings: moulded south interior doorway with contemporary oak door. C14 chancel screen. C18 pulpit with tester. Box pew reset in NW corner of south aisle.

Brickhouse Farmhouse, Ratcliffe Highway

Farmhouse. Late C17. Red brick with flat band and wooden eaves cornice with modillions to hipped tiled roof. Central stack with brick cornice and 2 flat headed dormers. 2 storeys and attics; regular 3 window front, glazing bar sashes. Flat hood over doorway.

Rose and Crown Public House, Stoke Road

Public house, formerly house. Late C18, refenestrated in C20. Painted brick with hipped renewed tiled roof with brick chimney stack. 2 storeys and attics; 3 windows. 2 hipped dormers with 4 pane windows. First floor has C20 casements in original openings. Ground floor has left side canted bay with glazing bars and horns and C20 casement window with glazing bars in original glazed segmental head. Central door case with flat wooden weatherhood on brackets. C20 half glazed door. Catslide extension to north. Single storey rear extension with hipped plain tiled roof. Ground floor interior has exposed joists.

Parish Church. C14 with C15 tower and chancel rebuilt, probably 1881 by E.W. Stephens. Ragstone with plain tiled roof. West tower, nave with north porch, chancel. West tower unbuttressed, with small Perpendicular windows in top stage, the lower windows like rectangular loops. Nave C14, with unrestored C15 south west window of stretched quatrefoil over two ogee lights.
Interior: small west doorway rather than tower arch. Tiebeam roof over nave with pierced spandrels; crown posts. Now redundant and being converted into a house at the time of survey.

The Old Rectory

House. Late C18. Red and brown brick with straight joint on north and south fronts indicating two builds. Hipped plain tiled roof. 2 storeys; 4 window front with glazing bar sashes irregularly spaced. Central entrance with C18 doorcase. 2 large projecting bays on north. The Rectors from 1788 to 1875 were R. Burt, father and son. The Rev. Robert Bert senior performed the illegal marriage ceremony between George IV and Mrs Fitzherbert in December 1785.

St Mary's Hall

House. C17 and circa 1830. Red brick with plain tiled roof to north, painted brick with hipped slate roof to south. Double depth plan. 2 storeys; 3 window front, sashes on first floor, 2 outer bays on ground floor, united by slate roof to form porch between on ground floor. St Mary's Hall was the home of Henry Pye from 1845-1909. He made many innovations in farming practices including promoting the use of steam engines (by Aveling of Rochester) for ploughing and threshing. By draining the marshes he improved the grazing and eliminated the fevers which had so reduced the population in the past.

Barn. C16 with archaic details. Timber framed and weatherboarded with hipped roof covered in asbestos cement sheets. One wagon porch.
Interior: 3 bays with half end bays. Aisled with passing braces. Rafters tied with collars every fourth. All main timbers chamfered; open tenons.
