In the Name of God Amen the Twentieth day of June in the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred Fiftie and Fowre I Robert Allin of Smithcott within the parrish of Dantsey and County of Wiltes gentleman being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thankes bee given to Almighty god my creator and maker, Doe make constitute and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme as Followeth ~ First I give and bequeath my Soule unto god my heavenly Father who gave it And my body I committ unto the earth from whence it was taken with a full assurance to have my soule and bodie reunited at the generall resurrecion, my sinns through the only merritts of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer pardoned And for such worldly goodes as it hath pleased god Almighty to blesse mee withall I thus dispose of them first of all I give unto Elizabeth my wyfe five shillinges of good and lawfull money of England to be paid within one year after my decease Item I give unto my sonne Robert Allin with that which his grandmother Allen gave unto him the somme of one hundred poundes of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto him within one year after my decease Item I give unto my sonne Richard Allen the summe of one hundred poundes of good and lawfull money of England to bee paied unto him one yeare after my decease And alsoe I give unto him all my bookes of Chyrurgerie and Instruments and Apothecary drogges sills and glasses to be given and delivered unto him presently and ymmediately after my decease Item I give unto my daughter Margaret Waldren, The wyfe of John Waldren gent' the summe of one hundred poundes, to be payed unto her at in or upon the day of the ensoaleinge of the Lease which Lease the said John Waldren upon a Contract of condicons before his Entor marriadge with his now wyfe Margarett was to purchase for his life; and Mary Allen her sisters life for and in consideracon of the one hundred poundes above menconed for and in assurance to her upon her marriadge with him the said John Waldren. Item I give unto my daughter Mary Allin the sume of one hundred poundes of like lawfull money of England to bee paid unto her within one year after my decease Item Item I give unto my daughter Anne Allen the summe of fower score poundes of like lawfull money of England to bee paid within And if it shall happen that if any of my children shall Depart this life before they shall accomplish the age of Eighteene yeares That then the Legacie or Legacies of him or them soe dying shall bee equally divided among the rest of my children that doe survive Item I give unto my wives Children and unto her Grandchildren five shillings a peece to bee paid within one year after my decease providing and allwayes excepted that if the estate that I leave att or after my decease doe wante to rayse up the Legacies given by mee That then and in such case the Legacies shall all and every of them abate (Margarett Waldren my Daughter her parte herein menconed excepted) their exporationable parte accordinge to that abatement thereof But bi it provided That if it doth suffictently and fully arise to pay the same That then every one is to receive his Legacyes herein given, And if it doth arise and come to more That the moneyes soe arisinge over and above , shall bee equally divided amongst my own Children, Item I give unto the poore of Dantsey Fifteene shillings that doe not receive releife to be given and distributed by the Overseers of the poore of the said Parrish Item I give unto the parrish Church of Dantsey five shillings And lastly I doe give unto Thomas Kinge of Mynetee my Father in lawe, the Summe of one shilling Whome I doe make Constitute and ordayne to bee Executor of this my last will and Testament, to see my debts paid my Legacies discharged and my bodye decently brought in Earth according to the discrecon of my Executor And I doe hereby desire John Bathe of Hooke my Brother in law and Symon Allen of Dantesey my Brother to bee the Overseers of this my last will and testament And for their paines that they shall take herein I give to them one shilling a peece And I doe hereby revoake and disanull all former Wills and Testaments In witness whereof I the said Robert Allen have hereunto sett and put my hand and Seale the Twentyeth day of June first above written in the presence of us//

This will was proved at Westminster the nyne and twentieth day of November one Thousand six hundred Fiftie Four Before the Judges for probate of Wills and grannting Admiinistracone lawfully Authorised by the Oath of Thomas Kinge Father in lawe of the said Deceased and sole executor named in the said will To whom Administration of the goodes chattles and debts of the said deceased was Committed He being first by Commission sworne truely to Administer the same.
