Girtie (I think she was generally known as) was born 13 October 1906 and died 3 February 1975. This was taken at their marriage on 5th June 1933.

Girtie was the daughter of Stephenson HOGGARTH who was the son of Allin HOGGARTH who was the son of Lawrence John HOGGARTH (him who died in 1900).

George was the son of John HOGGARTH (brother of Allin) who was the son of Lawrence John HOGGARTH.  So George married the daughter of his cousin Stephenson HOGGARTH

Thus Girtie and George were 1st cousins once removed. Lawrence John is Ivans Great Grandad and also his Great Great Grandad. So Ivan is his own second cousin once removed - I think!
