This picture is of my G2 Grandmother Lydia WILKIN. Born 1843 in Patrington Haven, married in Great Driffield in 1864 to Thompson WILDON and died in 1920. Lydia begat Clara WILDON who, at the age of sixteen begat (illegitimately) Alice WILDON and later married Arthur MARSH. Alice WILDON married Allin HOGGARTH the 2nd. This photo had been with my family for years ("dad's great aunt" written on the back) and no one really knew who it was. I became in contact with John Ferguson of Hull whose wife's mother was Mary MARSH, a sister or half sister of Alice - Mary had by then died. I sent John a copy of the photo on the vague chance that it might be connected. John showed it to one of the two last surviving daughters of Arthur MARSH and Clara WILDON (in Nursing Home in Scarbrough) who immediately recognised it as Grandmother.
