The Ashigaru (Light Foot) Katana is an authenticly mounted katana, offered at a price where others makers start using plastic. The blade is precision milled from 1060 carbon steel, sharpened by hand to a "V" shape edge and through tempered for durability. Its tough enough for routine practice including light cutting, using the same materials as our normal line of swords including metal fittings, genuine rayskin, tightly wrapped cotton tsuka-ito, and a removable double-pegged handle. Limited run of 150 pcs.

The Tonbo (Dragonfly) katana is forged by hand from high quality 1050 carbon steel, heat treated to a spring temper for superior durability. The blade's polish is done by hand leaving a traditional "V" shaped edge and brilliant mirror finish. The Tonbo is mounted using traditional mounting materials including blackened iron, seasoned wood, genuine rayskin, and premium cotton cord. The Tonbo is designed with our all-purpose blade, in the middle between heavy and light, with a geometry that lends itself equally to either exhibition or combat. Its spring tempered construction also makes it one of our highest performers despite its modest price.

The Shinobi (Assassin) katana is designed with a short blade hidden in a long saya and katana fittings, giving the wielder an advantage in drawing speed judgement of the ma-ai (combative distance). It is patterned off of swords carried by ninja to gain surprise on unweary samurai. The Shinobi blade is forged by hand from high quality 1070 carbon steel, clay tempered to produced a traditional hamon. The polish is done by hand leaving a traditionally shaped edge and revealing the temper pattern. The Shinobi is mounted authentically with blackened iron, seasoned wood, genuine rayskin, and premium cord (tsuka-ito). Currently available in blue silk on black samé or black silk on white samé.

The Yamabushi (Mountain Warrior) katana is designed with a geometry that lends itself equally to exhibition and combat. The blade is forged by hand from high quality 1070 carbon steel, clay tempered to produced a traditional hamon. The blade's polish is done by hand leaving a traditional "V" shaped edge and revealing the temper pattern. Its differential heat treatment gives it a harder edge and softer spine, making it able to retain a perfect edge even through repeated uses.

The Karasu (Crow) katana is designed with a double edged blade based on the famous Kogarasu-maru tachi of the Taira clan. The blade is forged by hand from high quality 1070 carbon steel, clay tempered to produce and authentic hamon (temper pattern). The polish is done by hand leaving a traditional "V" shaped edge and mirror finish. The Karasu is mounted with traditional mounting materials including blackened brass and iron, seasoned wood, genuine rayskin, and premium silk cord (tsuka-ito). Currently available in limited blue ito-maki on black samé.

The Matsu (Pine) katana is forged and folded by hand from two carbon steels producing a traditional hada (grain pattern). The blade's polish is finished by hand leaving a "V" shaped edge. The Matsu is mounted with traditional materials including blackened iron, seasoned wood, genuine rayskin, premium brown silk, and blackened fittings (fuchi-gashira, tsuba). The Matsu is designed in the style of a Nagamaki-naoshi. This is exemplified in its short groove and special blade geometry. It is an exceptional cutter and high performance exhibition sword. The beautiful grain pattern harkens to the style in which swords were produced in ancient Japan. Limited edition (no longer in production).

The Ukigumo (Floating Cloud) katana is hand forged and folded from high quality carbon steel and clay tempered to produce a traditional hamon (temper pattern). The blade's polish is finished by hand leaving a "V" shaped edge. The Ukigumo is mounted with traditional materials, aquamarine premium cotton ito, brass and steel fittings, silver plated tsuba, seppa, and fuchi-gashira. Designed with a wide Kotetsu-style blade for competition cutting. Limited edition of 50 pcs.

The Ten Ryu (Heaven Dragon) Katana undergoes initial forging in Japan with one of the highest performing steels in the world, L6 alloy steel, it is then shaped and heat treated in Asia and differentially tempered producing a sugu-ha hamon (temper pattern). Our specialized process yields a lab verified bainite body and martensite edge, making it an incredibly durable sword that is practically indestructible for the needs of the martial artist. The Ten Ryu is mounted with antiqued dragon and cloud tsuba, fuchi-gashira and menuki (shakudo). The saya is seasoned rosewood fitted with black buffalo horn, expertly fitted to the blade. The tsuka has a full wrap of rayskin covered with premium Japanese silk cord. It also comes with a resting sheath, or shirasaya. All mounting and post-production work is done between our craftsmen in Asia and United States. The Ten Ryu is a limited production of only 50 pcs, each one comes with numbered and signed certificate of authenticity matching the number of the sword. Allow 10-15 weeks delivery for custom orders.
