Why did we start this business?

As practitioners of Japanese Martial arts, with many sixty years of  martial arts /combat experience between us, we know the need for reliable, good quality weapons. We were dismayed with the choice for the serious martial artist. As any practitioner knows, when it comes to purchasing training weapons, you only have two choices, buy cheap, ‘throw away’ poor quality items, or pay the premium for weapons from Japan. We decided to see if it was possible to bridge the gap between these two choices by enlisting the help and experience of local master craftsmen in producing high quality martial arts weapons at a very reasonable cost. We have worked closely with these craftsmen, discussing our requirements and utilising their experience to find the best quality and most suitable materials for our equipment, this ensures we produce the best in terms of quality, safety and durability in all our weapons. All of the equipment we produce has been trialled and rigorously tested within our dojo by instructors from all over the UK and Europe.   Our prices have been set with the intention of bringing ‘Japanese’ standard training weapons at a more reasonable price for the serious martial artist, there is no compromise in quality!
