Local craftsmen produce our Bo, Jo and hanbo. The wood is hand picked from the finest grade American oak. This enables our craftsmen to ensure that only the straightest, tightest grained wood is used for the production of these weapons, this ensures that the wood will not warp or split, even under the most extreme punishment. They are finished by hand to an almost glass like finish with oil (other finishes available on request). No varnish is used. This ensures that the weapons have a good, natural’ feel’ to them and allows for better movement with no friction burns to the practitioners hands! A care sheet is included with each wooden weapon to ensure that it serves you for many years to come.

Kukishin Ryu bo

This weapon is a training version of the Kukishin Ryu Bo.
It is a six foot shaft with nine iron rings places along its length (the one shown has 4 rings at each end with 1 in the middle)
The version shown is based on the one seen in Hatsumi Sensei's books, a second version based on the description on the Tenshin Hyuho Kukishinden Site is also available.
