These are safety training weapons. They are bamboo construction and covered with leather. Their purpose is to allow the safe practice of stick arts, where the practitioner requires a reasonable level of contact without causing injury. Each bamboo pole is picked by hand, rather than get as many weapons out of each 9ft length, we make sure that we only use the straightest bamboo, with the correct spacing of the knots, with minimal taper. Although for us it creates more wastage and less profit, for you it ensures you get the best weapon we can produce. The leather covering is from the finest calf belly hide. This ensures long life for the leather, but is supple enough that it forms the safest practice weapon we can make. Our leather is double stitched with an internal seam, again to ensure that these are the safest we can make them for use by you. The leather is stitched by hand, not machine stitched, by a master saddler.
