Long ago in early 1977, when I was still but a lad, I bought a lovely 3 year old Toyota Celica 1600 ST (TA22). It came from Foster’s Motors in Southend-on-Sea and cost me £1,595 - I still have the receipt!
I can’t quite remember why now, but my Celica was immediately given the name ‘Fang’ and this has stuck ever since.
Happily I still own and cherish this car and get tremendous enjoyment from driving it around the Lake District and taking it on classic car runs and to shows with the Wigton Motor Club and Toyota Enthusiasts Club.
