2 Salem Chapel
The Salem Chapel was built by John Peele Clapham in 1840. Clapham had fallen out with the elders of the existing churches in Burley and built an Independent chapel and school room alongside his home at The Grange. Between the two is a graveyard, which contains the Clapham family tombstone.
