SITUATION
Set in the heart of beautiful Purbeck, the 12 acre Burnbake Campsite is a quiet, secluded, level site in woodlands with a stream. There are natural divisions between the fields. Campers can choose to pitch amongst the trees or on the prepared grass. The site is for 130 families with tents or camper vans. Sorry no caravans.
FACILITIES
We have excellent facilities, two purpose built buildings, containing washing, showers, WCs for everyone's needs. We provide sinks for washing-up and a laundry room equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer. For mothers, we have a baby room with facilities for changing and bathing. The site has a chemical disposal point for those with their own chemical buckets. There is a safe play area for children with slide and swinging tyres. A sports field adjoins the sight for athletic campers. Pets are welcome. Dogs can be exercised in the adjoining woods, but must be kept on a lead on site.
SHOP
The well stocked shop opens twice a day. Bread, cakes and milk arrive daily in time for breakfast. Calor gas, charcoal, cooking and camping equipment are also available. Freezer packs can be handed in for freezing and collected the next day.
LEISURE
Studland has three miles of sandy beach and excellent safe bathing, sailing and windsurfing. The seaside resort of Swanage also has good swimming, tennis, putting, bowls and other leisure activities. The campsite has direct access to bridle-ways for walking, biking and horse riding. The 18-hole Isle of Purbeck Golf Course and the South West Coastal Path are nearby.
HOW TO FIND US
The site is between Corfe Castle and Studland just of the B3351. From Wareham take the A351 to Corfe Castle, turn left under the castle onto the Studland road, through the old railway arch and take the third turning to the left, signposted to Rempstone. From the Sandbanks Ferry follow the road through Studland, at the Swanage fork continue on to Corfe Castle and take the first turning right on the brow of hill, signposted to Rempstone. From that junction follow the Campsite signs North for one mile and turn right through fields onto the site.
Burnbake is a tents and camper vans only site, sorry no caravans.

We also take group bookings for the Events Field, throughout the season. Groups (10 units +) have to be organisation groups: i.e. Scouts; Guides; School groups; D of E; Clubs; Birthday and Wedding groups.
The Events Field is not available for group bookings over the Spring and August Bank Holidays and the following week.
For group charges telephone as this will depend on composition,
BANK HOLIDAYS
Due to overcrowding at the Spring (28 - 31 May) and August Bank Holidays (27 - 30 Aug.)we have had to limit the number of campers on site. This we do by selling entry tickets/car passes at the gate or you can ordered in advance.
When we are full we close the site to campers without passes.
This will be the 7th year that we have used the entry tickets system to limit numbers and it is very popular with the regular campers.
We have made some changes for this year.
1. Pre-booked tickets will only be available for the full Bank Holiday. (Friday night to Monday, i.e. 3 nights.) We will in addition be asking campers to pay up front for their camping for the 3 nights: See Charges above (High Season column) to calculate your fee. In addition you will have to pay for the ticket: £5 and a pre-booking fee: £5.
(i.e. For a family of 2 adults with 2 children this would come to £51 for the camping + £5 booking fee and £5 for car pass; total £61 for the three nights.)
2. We will refund your camping fee if you are unable to turn up. BUT we must be informed before 1200hrs on the Wednesday before. We will not refund the ticket and pre-booking fee.
3. Ticket numbers are restricted and will only be available up until 12 days before the Bank Holiday.
(11 May for the Spring Bank Holiday and 17 Aug. for the August Bank Holiday.)
To pre-book you need to send us a cheque made out to 'Burnbake Campsite' together with your car registration #, name and address.
Upon receipt we will write to you with your entry ticket number.
We will give you your ticket/car pass when you book in.
and put 'Additional info.' in the subject line otherwise it will automatically exterminate.
If you do not receive a reply to your e-mail within 48 hours send again or telephone; our Spam exterminator may have munched it.
