  • THE BARN OWL TRUST - Website covers virtually every topic related to Barn Owls and their conservation. It's composed of over 80 pages, has over 70 slide shows on various topics and there's also plenty of free, information leaflets in downloadable PDF files and a shop. Check out the Barn Owl Trust's new 'Nestcam' (a close up view of the Barn Owls' nest inside the nestbox) and 'Barncam' (a view of the nestbox inside the barn).
  • SUNDAY CHANTS IN HYDE PARK - Held every Sunday (weather permitting) by the Chaitanya Meditation Centre from approx 3pm - 5pm. Meet behind Dell restaurant, Hyde Park, on the grass between the paths. All are welcome to join us for chanting of transcendental mantra's with music.   • VEGAN RUNNERS - A vegan club that aims to promote veganism throughout the UK through participation in open events as advertised in athletics and running magazines. Free membership. Members will be encouraged to enter events of their choice and further ideas will be provided by the organiser. Events generally vary in length from 5 km to half a marathon and are therefore suitable for runners with a wide range of abilities.   • THE NATIVE TREE SHOP - Young native trees are now available online from The Woodland Trust for under £10.00 for a pack of four, including the postage and packing. Planting native trees is one of the best things that you can do for wildlife!
  • HELP NEEDED TO MONITOR CLIMATE CHANGE - If you are interested in nature, then why not volunteer to be a phenology recorder? Visit the UK Phenology Network website to register. The Spring survey will be starting soon. NATURE DETECTIVES is a phenology programme for 4-18 year olds. There will be prizes for top spotters and Nature Detective training sessions will also be available for schools and groups.
