Habitat: Woodland garden or wildlife garden.

Habit: Deciduous shrub. Bush-like, but can grow up to 15 Metres. Needs a lot of water

Flower Colour: Male catkins appear usually in March.

Planting Time:

Nectar Plant for: Bees. Very good wildlife plant. Over 250 sps of insects have been found on it!

Caterpillar Food Plant for: Larvae of many moths and butterflies eat the leaves.
