Our English bacon is locally bred & all top quality. Although it doesn't have the same amount of publicity than its Danish counterpart has, it is just as tender and just as tasty.

For those who have been caught out with some bad English bacon, you can be assured of our quality. However, we also supply Danish bacon for customers who will not compromise.

Whole English Gammon (smoked): Gammon is one of the tenderest joints of bacon. There are several cuts of gammon, as can be seen from the diagram below. The smoked flavour is a delight to the taste buds and makes any meal a little more special. Smoked Gammon £3.41
Whole English Gammon (plain): Another tender joint, the only difference being that it has not been put through the smoking process. Ideal for boiling, braising, roasting or baking and makes an excellent meal with new potatoes and fresh vegetables. Plain Gammon £3.08
English Gammon Steaks (smoked): Succulent steaks with an authentic smoked flavour. These are ideal for grilling and serving with pinapple rings and chips. A quick and easy meal for even the novice cook. Smoked Steaks £6.29
English Gammon Steaks (plain): As with the smoked steaks, these are extremely tender and make a tasty alternative to other cuts of meat. Ideal for frying or grilling Plain Steaks £5.94
Short Back English Bacon (smoked): Back bacon can vary, depending on which part of the bacon pig it is taken from. Prime back tends to be shorter than long back but is often broader. The smoked flavour of this bacon is a treat as it melts in your mouth. Smoked Short back £8.58
Short Back English Bacon (plain): Unsmoked back, as well as it's smoked counterpart, can be sliced as rashers for frying or grilling, ideal for fry-ups. It can also be sliced a bit thicker and cut into pieces for casseroles, pies or flans. Plain Short back £8.14
Middle English Bacon (smoked): These are usually very lean and quite broad, it also includes the thin end which is streaky bacon. Perfect for frying or grilling, middle bacon is excellent choice for most dishes. Smoked Middle £5.28
Middle English Bacon (plain): Middle bacon is an ideal economical cut, not only can it be sliced into rashers for frying or grilling, it can also be cut into a joint size when it will be rolled and can be boiled, braised or roasted. Plain Middle £5.06
Streaky English Bacon (smoked): A thin slice with lean and streaks of fat running through. Due to the fat content of this cut, it tends to shrink when fried or grilled. It comes into it's own when used to line patê dishes, chopped for casseroles, flans or soups. Smoked Streaky £4.37
Streaky English Bacon (plain): Rashers can be placed over a turkey while it's being roasted to assist with basting. Why not try 'pigs in blankets', Lincolnshire pork sausages with streaky bacon rashers wrapped round them, just bung 'em in the oven. Plain Streaky £4.15
Local Home Cured Bacon: Our home cured bacon is the envy of the area. We buy the best pork and select the leanest cuts. We use a traditional method of curing to ensure the flavour is captured until it reaches your plate. Home Cured £5.94
Stuffed Chine: Chine is a Lincolnshire delicacy. The chine is actually the shoulder of the bacon pig, cured and stuffed with a traditional mixture which consists of parsley, mint and many other herbs and spices to give it a totally original taste. It has to be said that there are fewer and fewer butchers making their own stuffed chine these days and we are proud to be the very best in the area. Stuffed Shoulder: This is very similar to stuffed chine in that the ingredients are the same, the preparation methods are the same. The only difference is that this is boneless, ie: it is boned before the curing process. The slices of this delicacy are streaked with the special herbs and spices to give it a unique look which makes the mouth water.
