Mini-soccer extra week...  An extra week's session has been added for Saturday 28th November to make up for recent cancellation due to waterlogged pitch at Halloween. As usual there will be two sessions - the first runs from 9:30am to 10:30am for children born in 2003 – 2002 with the second session running from 10:45am to 12:00 noon for children born in 2001- 2000.  South Belfast Youth League...  Ballymena United Youth Academy Under 10's - for fixtures, results and tables click here . Ballymena Utd. Open Day... The Academy's Under 10’s and 11’s took part in a coaching session on the main Showgrounds pitch were delighted when a number of the United’s first team squad, including captain Gary Haveron and striker Kevin Kelbie joined them. United’s treble-winning U13’s took on Glentoran’s U13’s in a friendly on one of the adjoining pitches.
 Lisburn Invitational Youth League... Under 11's, Under 12's, Under 16's and Under 17's - for fixtures, results and tables click here. Under 12's win Treble... Stewart Neill's under 12's completed a Grand Slam of trophy wins this season when they added the Lisburn League Title to stand proudly beside the Shield and Cup won previously. The lads capped a magnificent season with a two goals to one play-off victory over Ballyclare Comrades, who ran them to the wire in each of the competitions throughout the year. The Season Ahead... The Academy's teams began the new season in September. A new Under 10 team made it's debut in the South Belfast League, with Under 11's 12's 16's and 17's playing in the Lisburn Invitational Youth League. The Under 13's play this season in the new NIBFA Youth League. The Academy's open door policy will continue as normal with any boy who would like a trial for any of the Academy teams receiving a warm welcome when the pre-season starts in August.

Last season was a terrific season for United's Youth set up with three former Youth Academy players, Aaron Stewart, George Young and Paul McNeill joining United's first team squad and eight former Academy players were in the winning squad that won the Harry Cavan Youth Cup, proof of the great development opportunities that exist at United. Bolton Wanderers have again confirmed their association with United's Academy for next season. All in all another exciting season lies ahead at Ballymena United Youth Academy.

Ballymena United Youth Academy are delighted that coaches Melvyn Logan and Mark Carlisle have been promoted to the management team of Ballymena United Youth Team. United manager Roy Walker was keen to promote from within the United set-up and he was please that the Youth Academy's Under 17's coaches accepted the invitation. The promotion highlights the high quality of coaches within the Youth Academy and there are also excellent opportunities for coaches as well as players.
