Special needs
The convertible accommodation in coach No 12 , with ramp access for wheelchair passengers.
Customers with special mobility needs have priority parking at Page’s Park station. Two of the railway’s coaches can be adapted, so that passengers in wheelchairs can travel in comfort, accompanied by the rest of their party.
There is ramp access to most facilities, including a dedicated toilet in the buffet building at Page’s Park station. Advance notification of wheelchairs is appreciated, to allow us to make any preparations that may be required.
For customers with impaired sight, all of our leaflets are available in large print, on request. Our volunteer staff are also willing to read out or write down information, if this is helpful.
For customers with very small children, a nappy-changing facility has been installed in the toilet area of the station buffet, to help make your day run smoothly. There are also high chairs available in the buffet itself, and the Guard will look after buggies while you are on the train, if this will help.
Well behaved dogs are welcome on our trains, and a bowl of water is usually available for our four-legged customers, at both ends of the line.
If you or a member of your party has special needs, please let us know how satisfied you were with the way we treated you, and what other special help you may require in the future.
Pages of this website will be supplied in hard-copy, large-print format, on request.
