Obviously, projects of this size need money, and lots of it.
We are happy to announce that the funds required to complete the works, and put No 778 back into full working order, have now been raised. Our grateful thanks go to all the individuals and organisations whose generosity, in cash and kind, helped make this fantastic project a success. Our attention is now turning to making provision for its maintenance and overhauls in the future.
An appeal for the full restoration of No 2182, to the same high standards as were achieved with 778, will be launched later in 2009. Watch this space!
