Coach parties
The Leighton Buzzard Railway is conveniently located, just a few minutes away from the M1 (Junctions 11 to 14), and even closer to the A5. The established tourist destinations of Whipsnade and Woburn are just down the road from us, and the Bletchley Park codebreakers are also a short drive away. Depending on where you are coming from, we can be the main attraction for a half-day or full-day coach trip, or a 2 to 3-hour add-on to a visit to other places. Combining a steam train ride with afternoon tea in Dobbers buffet is a very popular half-day package.
Coach parties MUST be booked in advance, as train capacity is limited. Advance booking gives operators a handy 20% discount off the standard fare for public trains, and reserved seating for customers. The coach driver gets a free train ticket, and a refreshment voucher.
Coach parking at Page’s Park station is free of charge, and conveniently close to the platforms, for those with limited mobility. Again, spaces needs to be reserved in advance.
Parties on scheduled public trains are limited to a maximum of 60 people. For larger groups, or travel outside the public timetable, we can offer the facility to hire a train, to run when convenient for you and your customers. This includes Sunset Special evening trains, which can be booked for operation in June, July and August.

We are now taking enquiries and reservations for the 2011 season, which starts on 13th March. Book early if you have a specific date in mind.
