Hard Coat

Pentax hard coats offer a great deal of benefits to the user:

• With a coating thickness of approximately 2 microns, the lens life is greatly prolonged
• Excellent adhesion for coating stability
• Coated on both sides for enhanced protection

The picture opposite demonstrates a lens hard coated on the right hand side rubbed with wire wool 5,000 times.

Thanks to Pentax Aspheric thinner design, less lens material is needed to produce a finished lens. The lens weight is significantly reduced, allowing spectacles to be more comfortable.
